Downers Grove North @ St. Francis week 1

I had heard rumblings from some on this board with no supporting evidence that ACC was not joining due to previous commitments.

Then Friday Night Drive stated a few months ago that ACC would not be joining the CCL/ESCC for at least the next year or until they got their program numbers up.

So I assume that is the reason but I don’t know what metrics or expectations are in place for them to join the following season.
Don’t really understand their interest in joining the CCL.

I drove by ACC a couple hours before KO when they were hosting IC. IC had 60+ kids warming up on the practice field like a well oiled machine. On the other end ACC had about 12 kids huddle around a tree. Looked like it was going to be a long night for the Chargers.

IC won by 70 and ACC quit in the 3rd quarter.

Man I wish the SCC would revive itself.

That would be nice, but what I think would be nicer is what ramblinman suggested above.

SF and IC have advanced beyond what an SCC can offer them.

It would be nice to see the CCL/ESCC raid those two new leagues with Mac, AC, Wheaton Academy, Christ the King, MCC, etc. and form an entire lower tier division or 2 along with Leo , ACC, and perhaps Marian. Could be a nice 6-12 team grouping that could be split into 2-3 divisions and they could be sheltered from crossovers with the best 2-3 divisions.

I'd go for that. Would think that would put an end to the conference suffling.

I will push back on SF and IC advancing beyond what the SCC can offer them. Yes, they would be at the top of the conference as it sits now but Marmion, Montini, Marian would rotate with them each year.

ACC
ACS
IC
Marian
St Fran
Montini
Marmion
St. Ed's
Wheaton Acd.

Would be a solid conference and make more since geographically speaking.

Didn’t that conference pretty much exist already and broke up? I never understood why the Suburban Catholic went away.

Zing. No defense over here, it's been ugly...
All.... I should be asking this in the CCL Shuffle thread but what the heck. Have you gents got five in you this year. The Class 3A public school followers have been wailing for quite sometime about what will happen if the Broncos play some postseason ball. The season is six months away and it's starting up already.

I kind of enjoy it.😎 Ratsy

In all honesty it’s all in good fun. I have nothing but respect for the Broncos.
Any shakeup inside Montini's program this offseason after a few (3) win seasons?

Hope they get back to being Montini soon. IHSA football is better with Montini being in the mix.

Yup, same here. Think it was a rash decision that not enough thought went into.

Conference broke up in 2013 and went out with a bang (every team in the blue made the playoffs). The schools that wanted out, are still well below average.

SCC BLUE
SCC GOLD

Those are some serious road trips for ACC.
