You're right. My order was incorrect. Maine South at home, Carmel at Gately, Lake Forest at Lake Forest and the Brook at De La Salle. The LF/DLS game was actually a quarterfinals matchup... so you guys must've played Mt. Carmel in round two.
Imagine beating JCA, Richards, the team that beat MC, Providence then getting to the dance, and the team you play is using cheat codes to win 😒That is great run
If I’m not mistaken they had a TD called back on a questionable call & some goals chances to hit some field goals but didn’t kickImagine beating JCA, Richards, the team that beat MC, Providence then getting to the dance, and the team you play is using cheat codes to win 😒

Bold thought. However, recalling that the '86 Champs were overwhelmingly dominated by seniors, most of whom went both ways, I wonder if everyone would have be ready a season earlier to go to the top.1985 Tinley Park. If Steve Maslan plays & plays QB a great possibility they win state 2 years in a row. Brian Wise at WR instead of QB.
However, if they were using regulation high school goal posts, they would not have beaten JCA in round 1Imagine beating JCA, Richards, the team that beat MC, Providence then getting to the dance, and the team you play is using cheat codes to win 😒
That De La Salle team he referenced that lost to my Beloved...Care to expand on that?
Just no. You definitely don't speak for me. 8 classes is still too many.I think I speak for most & wish we can do over the state playoffs. Start in 1967 & have 8 classes & 32 teams. Schools like Joliet East,Decatur Lakeview,Bloom Trail & others had good teams who would have gotten in a few times. Even Kelly High & Mendel
I was on the tower filming that game. Crazy ending where it seemed like everyone lost their minds in the excitement, even the refs. There were three WWS players in motion when they spiked the ball to stop the clock with .7 seconds left for the field goal attempt. But I wouldn’t expect too many refs would have wanted to take over the ending of that game. All they had to do was take knees the game was over WWS had no time outs and there was only 1:27 left in the game.
