I've been bored looking at all of the CCL talk, we get it. Carmel = good. CCL = good.
Interested in hearing thoughts of potential top 10 CPL teams this year when compared to other CPL teams.

Interested on thoughts and rankings of teams like Simeon, Kenwood, Amundsen, Lane, Taft, Whitney, etc.

I know a lot of CPL coaches lurk these forums, interested to hear from you guys.

All.... Morgan Park loses a ton of their offense but still has that one stud wo coming back. Mustangs should be ranked in the preseason 5A top ten poll even with that occuring. Ratsy

Oh yeah, i totally forgot to even mention MP in my initial post. They have been great and definitely a massive stand out in CPL. Always fun playing against them or watching them play.

Hard to get excited about a league who had #1 seed get destroyed in round 2 of the playoffs & only got there because they barely beat another CPS team. Then got nuked running clocked in the Prep Bowl by a team that finished the regular season 3-6

All... I don't follow CPL action much unless there is a chance one of those teams might go south in postseason play and come my way. Overall for sure those schools have had it pretty rough in playoff action.

Doing a quick search Whitney Young the #1 seed referenced is 3-17 in the playoffs. Sullivan who was #1 in the 4A north bracket were pounded by Geneseo last year in round one is 0-17.

Two teams that have decent success as of late one of course Phillips (25-10) who have 2 first place and one second trophy. But their glory years seem to be waning. The other Morgan Park coming in at 23-27. A smattering of semi playoff games among the others but not many. Ratsy

Chicago King came in as a 12 seed, beat their "friends" at Marshall, then gave Princeton a solid 4 quarters of football in a 34-16 3A North 2nd round Princeton win. King had a couple dudes that appeared to put the rest the team in their backpacks and I assume that's how the whole season went. Would be interested if those two are back and if they're still at King...

King couldn’t beat a sub .500 Reavis team who lost 76-0 to Richards

I miss the Al Scott era of Simeon football

They were always a tough team to play against
Curry at Robeson & Smith at Julian were tough outs too. Hubbard had a hell of a run but like the others mentioned would fall just short. Bogan would always be a tough out too under Jurka but would fall to St Laurence each year. Morgan Park was good back in the day like they are today

Yet they played remarkably well (all things considered) against Princeton... a team most you northern blow holes would call a "decent squad." But yeah, thanks for contributing, big boy. I was more interested in if the two athletes I saw of theirs were still there or had gone elsewhere? But you had other motivations in mind.
