College Football Playoffs- IHSA version

FYI I LOVE this topic well done Bruce
Thanks Edgy.
I think it offers two things.
1. A spirited debate with no correct answer.
2. Shows that even though a lot of people complain about the 8 class system and who gets in the playoffs that it could be worse. You could have a system that favors 5 conferences that only has 4 slots in the playoffs meaning 5 teams could be undefeated conference champions with no common opponents and a group of people need to decide which one is not worthy.

What would the NCAA do if South Carolina had to forfeit the Georgia game. Is a now "undefeated" Georgia team in the playoffs?

Probably not, just because people will say that they have seen Georgia lose. But it brings us back to an old question with the playoff, is it the 4 best teams or is it the 4 most deserving teams? I think Naz is one of the top 4 teams, but with the opening weekend “loss” would that dissuade the voters?

At what point do we quit calling a loss to a team that used illegal players a loss for Naz?

- one ineligible very good running back played and gained 100+ yards?
- 3 ineligible players that already graduated or were just too old?
- 4 ineligible players that are currently on the Clemson roster?

The IHSA has already posted their answer as Naz's record of 10-0.
