Byron/Montini in round 2

Byron has had its best back for 2 games. He's healthy, driven and wants to put the team on his back and Montini will flood the side where #34 goes while the QB or odd side wing goes for large chunks of yardage away from where #34 goes!!! Im sure that Montini's coaches have this factored but regardless they will have shadow 34 with wolf/reaper leaving the backside weakend.
Byron 31-18
Who is 34 ? Considine the FB is #37

Did Considine change his number?
What if they fortify the backside with a zombie/warlock?

Solid returning defense from a semifinal team and a legit D1 dual threat QB certainly sounds like a huge problem for 3A level teams.

This will be a serious nailbiter for both sides. I predict Montini prevails in a VERY tough game, 35-28

And sadly, this will be the last year us fans will get to talk about this matchup.

IC won two playoff games last year and none this year. Doesn’t that mean they will lose the multiplier for the next two year cycle? IC will take Montini’s place.

IC’s enrollment is 368 without the multipliers. Unless I’m missing something - they’ll be in 2A.

However, SHG’s non-multiplied enrollment is 536 and that would put them in 3A next fall unless they win 2 playoff games this year and they certainly won’t.

Sounds right. Maybe IC will petition up to 3A. I think they did that a few years ago.

As far as Montini/Byron, the more info and video I gather on Montini makes me think the Broncos are gonna be about 2 TD favorites.

But all I have to do is look to Cary Grove against EStL and find comfort with my Byron pick lol

No way.

What I think Byron has going for them is that while Montini plays a GREAT schedule they don’t play any offenses like Byron. Montini might win but the spread is no more than 2.5

Regardless, I won’t be missing this game this year.

I’m not buying any “2-TD favorite” hype at the moment. Didn’t Byron win it all last year and have all it’s top players back?

I agree Montini looks to be supremely loaded, but so is Byron.

Would both of these teams be favorites if they were in 4A this year?

Montini would be.
