O’Brien going on one of his weird yearly everyone should make the playoffs rant. We are ready for the brackets now.
I never agreed with this stance. Until my Dons started going 3-6. Now...#LetThemAllInO’Brien going on one of his weird yearly everyone should make the playoffs rant. We are ready for the brackets now.
Love me some Wilmo but not sure they make much noise in 3A, but hope I'm wrongMontini-Byron probably in the second round in 3A. Winner likely gets Princeton in the quarters.. Winner of that probably gets Wilmington in the semis. What a road
I think they have a good chance to make the semifinals. After that, who knows.Love me some Wilmo but not sure they make much noise in 3A, but hope I'm wrong
YesHosting question:
If both road teams win their first round game, does the higher seed host round 2?
Team that has hosted less playoff games gets to host.Hosting question:

That's what I thought,tyTeam that has hosted less playoff games gets to host.
If that is a tie, it goes to the higher seed.

Road team picks the day.Team that has hosted less playoff games gets to host.

Is that true? I remember a biz bag years ago where a team that was coming to Wilmo didn't wanna play at night. I remember a rule that if the teams couldnt agree, it was set at like 1:30 on SaturdayRoad team picks the day.
Home team picks the time.
Has nothing to do with odds. The process is as straight forward as it getsTwo Catholic schools in 8A and what are the odds they’re paired in the same quarter..
Im pretty sure all games have to be saturday. Unless both teams agree to friday. Unless something has changed since last year.Road team picks the day.

The classification and seeding process isn't necessarily perfect, but it is as transparent as possible. Two Catholic schools in 8A and what are the odds they’re paired in the same quarter..
I think they let the AD's figure it out among themselves. I know MC had played on a Friday round 1 four of the last 5 years, but all those teams they played were local. If distance has to be traveled I think they will obviously play on Saturday. MC has to go to Rockford area in Round 1 so I'm expecting a Saturday gameThis is directly from the ihsa website...
The game must be played on Saturday, unless both schools agree to play the game on Friday. Friday games must not be scheduled during school hours. Saturday games must start between 1 pm and 7 pm. The schools must agree on the starting time of the game. If they cannot come to an agreement, the IHSA Office will set the starting time.
Road team picks the day.
Home team picks the time.
He literally copied that from the ihsa website. It's as he posted. Obviously if the AD's come to agreement, then everything is all good.I think they let the AD's figure it out among themselves. Its the literal ihsa rule verbatim. Belleville east has played a friday night game in south elgin and maine south the past 2 years, much further than chicago to rockford.I think they let the AD's figure it out among themselves. I remember a few years back that StL played at Quincy, and we played Friday nightI think they let the AD's figure it out among themselves. I'm not disagreeing that it's not the rule's verbatim it just seems like a lot of the games are played on Friday....I figured travel time and school hours were taken into consideration between the AD's.Its the literal ihsa rule verbatim. Those were generally awful, lopsided games. Good riddance.Miss the Wednesday playoff games
