I admit that I am "banking" on my own assessment of upsets in the bracket and the fact that aside from Carterville. Which is in the wrong side of the bracket to affect SHG. I estimate that the lower half f South Bracket seeds will hold but that Carterville will inevitably be ",upset" by Rochester if not sooner. But suppose., just suppose, that the seeds held throughout the playoffs. In that case. we'd still be on the road but down in dinky Lil Carterville. How do you figure that? Consider at least one scenario: What if QND (#14) beats Macomb and Columbia (#11) beats Murphysboro. QND would have to travel two weeks in a row. Should they also beat Columbia, that would be two road games (victories) in a row. I have SHG only traveling once at the most in its first two games. They would then be going to QND for the quarterfinal (3rd week). I stopped there, but I hope you see the point. Again, I'm not saying QND will accomplish the above, but it is possible. I'm not even getting into semifinal possibilities at this point.
Either way, our best hope of three h one games, one the semis is a first round loss
Reakistically,, I don't see many upset chances in that bracket other than Olney and Carterville. How do you figure that? Realistically, I only see three upset chances in t he bracket. Olney, Breese Central and Cartervillle beginning in round 2. So there are only limited scenarios:How do you figure that? 1. All seeds hold until quarter won by Rochester. Result, Rochester hosts semi.
2. Upper half seeds hold, one or more lower don't. Rochester hosts semi
3. Upsets in both halves. Both SHG and Rochester 2H/1A, SHG hosts
Best bet for an SHG home semi ' IMO - comes from Waterloo beating Olney.
