Another failed attempt in forcing "fairness" in sports

This is scary and ridiculous. Why are courts involved with the outcome of a high school football game?

Mount Carmel won 61-14 this weekend. Where is Jordan Lynch's suspension?
I heard this story but didn’t realize the score was so close to the MC game at 61-13....thankfully they made the extra point to make it 61-14 and avoid suspension!

As a player or a coach, It's 1000 times more humiliating to have a team taking knees and not trying to play football than taking a major butt kicking.

And the parents of the kids who aren't as gifted should pull their kids off the team for not being played.

And didn't someone post on here a few months back Iowa was trying to do or doing something a bit similar with teams that were in poverty and teams with $$$

Boy if this happened in Illinois the LWE coach would only have been able to coach every other game from the sidelines in last years playoffs.

It is humiliating to get destroyed in a game. It is every bit as humiliating to have the better team have to give up. Punting on first down to keep the score down would be even more humiliating...This 42 point rule, what happens if the bad team runs a pass first spread and throws 15 interceptions, 10 of which get returned for TD's? Instruct players to intentionally drop the interceptions? Just fall down rather than score?

Wilmington played a summer basketball game against Joliet Central a few years ago. The Steelmen were so much quicker than the Wildcats that the Wildcats only got the ball over half-court once in the first half...The coach basically told them to quit playing defense and stop trying for steals...This arse-kicking was actually being beneficial to the Wildcats, as their passes became sharper as the game went on and they started to adapt to a team far quicker than any they would face in a regular season game. You don't get better by playing worse teams, just your record gets better...
