Congrats to both East Side(6A) and Nashville(2A) for getting wins today to earn a shot for a state title. The Flyers will have to travel nearly 4 hours to Dekalb and the Hornets trip will be near 4 1/2 hours. They both come in with very different stories as East Side was viewed as a Goliath today and Nashville played the role of David.
Also a shoutout to the 618’s Mt. Carmel(3A) who led by a score and had the ball at their opponents 6 yard line entering the fourth quarter before things fell apart. The Aces finish the year at 12-1.
