5A game updates

I don't understand how the Naz completion along their own sideline on their first drive was ruled a completion. There's no way the WR had possession before the JCA player knocked it loose.
Still scratching my head how this was called complete. The WR’s reaction told the story. He knew it was dropped/broken up. Next play touchdown

Naz D will figure out JCA offense before JCA figures out Naz’s. This one is gonna end up 45-24
And how did that prediction work out for you? It would never go to that margin Let face it the game could have gone either way. Racki pulled two plays that if it was Blackjack , hit hit 17 twice and did not bust. Alll in all a great football game by 2 deserving teams.. My hat is off to you Naz. You did what you had to to win.My JCA just missed another title. Now it is to 6A.

I think there is no doubting JCA is far and away the second best team in 5a. I think they are very good and have been for decades and probably will continue to be for decades. I said it before this game and I’ll say it again I wish it was against any other team because JCA has and always will have my respect. My pops passed away last year but one of my favorite memories of all time is standing on the ticket table at RB watching JCA beat Brasic in the best HS football game with him. Last year was emotional because I knew he’d be excited to see Naz beat JCA in a championship and this weekend I hated having to send them home with a runner up but it had to be done. And as I got off the train this morning I looked down and saw an unopened pack of Kool cigarettes in the Box just like mr tuccs used to smoke and I knew it was a celebratory sign and didn’t feel AS bad.

Now, what do I think about the game? I think Naz was the better team and was going to win that game regardless of the 2pt conversion. I think Logan threw the ball too many times in the 4th especially deep balls and that put the defense on the field a bit more than they wanted to be and I think that led to the JCA drives at the end. Credit to them for sticking to their game and running it almost to perfection. It certainly was looking ugly for a while but I think Naz got a bit too confident and JCA never quit and it made for an exciting ending. Was a great game a great season and now we look forward to #7

Quite possibly the first time I’ve seen a run/kick option from the back of the end zone. In retrospect, it was a great call. The outside backer/contain man crashed, and it was easy pickings. Actually ran it twice. Nonetheless, great football game by two very good teams. If the Naz QB was 4-5 inches taller, he’d have his pick of schools.

When Naz was up 27-14, I didn’t really understand why they even tried for 2. The JCA defender was actually in great position to make a play. It took almost a perfect throw and the holder made it. Turned out to be a much bigger deal than I thought at the time. If Naz doesn’t convert, JCA kicks the extra point for the win after their last TD.

I believe that if it was ~ 10 degrees warmer, a few of the Naz passes would’ve been caught leading to a more decisive win. conversely I don’t think the same temperature change would’ve impacted the JC game plan at all.
