Impact Player for Mascoutah
Mascoutah senior TE Jordan Beck (6-foot-4, 215 pounds) is a big, strong and physical tight end who can play a more traditional on the line blocking tight end. Beck also has the tools to play out wide as well and his ability to both block and become a target in the passing game . Beck can and will play defensive ends as well this season for the Indians and Beck has drawn various FCS/D2 recruiting looks this spring.
Looking for a sleeper name to watch from Mascoutah? Keep an eye on Mascoutah senior WR/DB Camren Reed (6-foot-1, 180 pounds) who is a speedy and versatile athlete who can and will draw recruiting looks this summer at both receiver and defensive back.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2025 Mascoutah Indians
Mascoutah came up just short of being a IHSA state playoff qualifier and posted a 4-5 record in 2024. The Indians posted a 1-4 record against winning teams in 2024 and the Indians will welcome back 15 returning starters including 9 names back on defense. Mascoutah has missed the state playoffs in back to back seasons and hopefully the 2025 season will see Mascoutah get back into the post-season along with challenging for the Mississippi Valley conference crown this fall.
The biggest question facing Mascoutah this summer?
Can the Indians reload at a handful of key positions, and can Mascoutah compete and beat somer of the better teams in the Mississippi Valley conference? The Indians as mentioned welcome back an experienced team for 2025, but they will need top reload at QB as well as on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Mascoutah also will need to get at least a few key wins against the top tier programs in the Mississippi Valley like Triad, Waterloo and Highland. Also just getting to 5 wins will be a test as the Indians non conference games are no joke in the likes of Belleville West, SHG and Carbondale. I can see Mascoutah as say a 6-3/5-4 caliber of team this fall and get into the IHSA state playoff field.
