Impact Player for Antioch?
Antioch will welcome back several key starters this fall including a handful of experienced varsity players and leaders. Antioch senior QB Colin Arquilla is coming off a very solid season in 2024 and Arquilla has good sixe and athletic abilities. I can see Arquilla drawing recruiting looks and attention at a few different positions this fall.
Looking for a sleeper name to watch for The Och this fall? Keep an eye on sophomore RB/ATH Logan Lennon who played quarterback at the freshman level but who also saw late season playing time as a wingback.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2025 Antioch Sequoits
Antioch and veteran head coach Brian Glashagel have been a winning progran for years now and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. The Sequoits have now won three straight Northern Lake County conference titles and are seeking a fourth straight in 2025. The Sequoits welcome back a strong core of returning 12 starters (7 offense 5 defense) and this program is never short on talent and overall numbers. I full expect Antioch to again be the early favorite in the NLC and to again make the IHSA state playoff field.
The biggest question facing Antioch this summer?
Can Antioch make a deeper run in the IHSA state playoffs in 2025 and beat one of the Top programs in the Northern portion of the 5A state playoff bracket? Antioch has been a consistent winner over the years but this program has also had limited success against schools not in the Northern Lake County area. The 2025 non conference games are solid in Schaumburg and Lake Zurich and should provide some early tests which should help this team get a bit more battle tested this fall. We should have a better idea just where this Antioch measures up mby say mid season.
Preseason Ranking? 2025 Preseason Class 5A Top 10 consideration.
