Impact Player for Wheaton South

Wheaton South senior WR Amari Williams is a speedy and athletic big receiver who has great hands, ball skills and impressive body control. Williams, who is already committed to NIU this summer will continue to draw recruiting looks and interest this fall.

Looking fror a sleeper name to watch for Wheaton South? Wheaton South junior QB Luca Carbonaro will be a rare three year varsity starter who has developed into one of the better quarterbacks to watch in the West suburbs this coming season.

EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2024 Wheaton South Tigers

Wheaton South and head coach Sean Norris is looking to build upon it's 5-5 record in 2023. The Tigers made the Class 7A state playoff field and lost to Hersey in opening round action. Sean Norris has posted a 13-18 record in 3 seasons at Wheaton South and has gotten the Tigers into the state playoffs twice in three seasons

The biggest question facing Wheaton South this summer?

Can the Tigers take the next step and win the Dukane conference crown and then make a deeper push into the Class 7A state playoffs? The Tigers played a ton of underclassmen in 2023 and some of the key names will have multiple years of varsity reps. The Tigers offense in particular looked strong this summer and if the defense can replace 8 graduated starters this summer they can make some noise this season.
