Impact Player for West Aurora:

Senior QB Gino Martino (6-foot-0, 175 pounds) will be a three year varsity starter for the Blackhawks this fall and Martino will be asked to again provide big time offensive production. Martino is also a leader for this program on and off the field and that leadership will be much needed for this team to make a climb up the SW Prairie standings.

EDGY's Quick Take on the West Aurora Blackhawks:

The Blackhawks (3-6) led by head coach Nate Eimer is still looking for that one big breakout season in the Southwest Prairie ever since joining the conference from the Upstate 8 back in 2019. The Blackhawks will welcome back several key starters this fall including 13 returning starters. If West Aurora can catch a few breaks, avoid the injury bug that bit them hard last season they have the potential to surprise this coming fall.
