Impact Player for Seneca:

Senior RB/LB Collin Wright (5-foot-8, 170 pounds) is a steady and durable running back/linebacker who is one of the main weapons in the Seneca running game back again for the 2022 season. Wright is a hard nosed inside runner and also a sure tackler at linebacker for the Fighting Irish who will be again asked to provide production and leadership on and off the field this summer.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Seneca Fighting Irish:

The Fighting Irish (4-5) just missed making the 2021 IHSA state playoff field and the Fighting Irish had a handful of close losses (Hoopston/Momence) that could have pushed Seneca into the state playoff field. Look for the Fighting Irish and second year head coach Terry Maxwell to utilize an experienced roster on both sides of the football to make a run towards the Vermillion Valley North conference title and also the IHSA state playoff field. Seneca has been in the IHSA state playoffs in just two seasons (2019/2013) since it's school's best state playoff run from 1998 thru the 2001 seasons.
