Biggest Question facing Nazareth Academy this fall?
Can the Road Runner get back to form and make a run in the CCL/ESCC and beyond this fall? Nazareth Academy finished the spring season with a 2-3 overall record, and that included close loses to the likes of Marist, Notre Dame and Benet Academy. Nazareth Academy head coach Tim Racki was insistent in playing his seniors along with his underclassmen and playing time was spread across both sides of the football with a bit less focus on all out winning games. Will that pay off this fall?
Impact Player for Nazareth Academy: Senior WR/DB Trell Harris is a terrific athlete and a kid player on both sides of the football for the Road Runners. Harris, who transferred in last year from Lyons has been a leader on and off the field and is one of several key game breaking type of players back this fall.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Nazareth Academy Road Runners: Nazareth Academy was easily one of the most impacted programs affected by the COVID pandemic as multiple kids left the program for out of state opportunities. Nazareth was able to reload in several key spots, yet the overall talent level was a bit lower this past spring season. Look for the Road Runners to once again be an impact player this fall and the skills group will be as talented as any in the state this coming fall season.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 3 versus Marist- This has become a terrific rivalry game over the past handful of years and look for a very intense and physical game whenever these two get together.
