Biggest Question facing Fenwick this fall?
Can the Friars be ready for prime time this time around? The Friars entered the spring season with a lot of hype (yes I'm guilty as charged) and finish the spring season with a lot of injuries and questions. Fenwick has a ton of talented names on both sides of the football including several D1 caliber recruits...yet the Friars also had some big issues that got exposed especially early in the spring season. Can the Friars get better and more consistent play from it's offensive line which was very young and inexperienced last spring? Can the Friars new offensive look be capable of utilizing the abundance of offensive skills on board while also being able to also consistently run the football when needed? Fenwick will be extremely hungry this coming season, and the spring preseason expectations will be considerably muted for the fall.
Impact Player for Fenwick:
Fenwick senior QB Kaden Cobb (Ball State). Cobb, who recently committed to Ball State has all the tools to become a high level signal caller but like the rest of the Friars had some early struggled then was hit with an injury which limited his spring season playing time. Cobb will be asked to get the Friars offense on track right out of the gates this fall and Cobb will be very hungry to have a much better start and showing this coming fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 1 vs Morgan Park
Morgan Park is a young and talented team that will be looking for a breakout season this coming fall. Fenwick will no question look to get off to a much better start of the season this fall and look for the Friars to really be locked in on having a positive start to the year. Fenwick had a COVID delay and sat out it's Week 1 spring game, then came out in Week 2 to JCA with one day of practice and was walloped 47-7 to start the spring season. That kind of start can't happen this fall for Fenwick.
