Biggest Question facing Crystal Lake South this fall?
Can the Gators bounce back from a less than strong spring season this fall? Crystal Lake South posted a 1-5 record this past spring season, and look for the Gators and head coach Rob Fontana to rely on a strong core of returning starters. The Gators biggest focus this summer needs to be on the defense, which allowed 203 points in 6 games during the spring season.
Impact Player for Crystal Lake South
Senior QB Justin Kowalak will be a three year varsity starter this fall for the Gators. Kowalak has been a big key and weapon in the South's offense and will again be asked to provide a ton of offensive production this fall. Kowalak has drawn recruiting looks and interest from various FCS/D2 programs this summer and is expected to continue to draw more attention this fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 2 @ Cary Grove
The Gators will need to be able to how that they can hang with the elite level teams in the Fox Valley Conference to have a legit shot at the conference title and a possible state playoff bid. A win....or at ;least a strong showing would be a very good early season barometer on just where this Gators team is at this season.
