Impact Player for Joliet Catholic: Junior RB Jordan Anderson. Anderson is a big, strong and highly athletic player and someone who will be a Power 5 level recruit in the Class of 2022. Anderson will be one of several returning starters back this fall and should get plenty of carries in the run first JCA Hilltoppers offense. If Anderson has big numbers that means JCA is winning a lot of games in 2020.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers: The Hilltoppers (8-4) had a solid run in 2019 and lost in the Class 5A quarterfinals to Mascoutah to end the season. JCA welcomes back several key returning starters this fall and this is also a team that will feature one of it's better underclassmen groups in years. If JCA can get the running game going (led by 3 starters back on the Hillmen O Line) the developing passing game spearheaded by junior QB Aidan Voss will become much more effective and Voss has several key targets back this fall. The defense features 7 returning starters including a handful of names with multiple years on the varsity level led by senior DB Jabril Willians plus S Devean Washington. The schedule is no joke here especially the first half of the regular season (Bishop Chatard/IC/St. Laurence/Fenwick/Brother Rice) but look for the Hillmen to find it's way into the IHSA state playoff field in 2020. JCA could end up being a very battle tested team to watch in 5A come this season.
