Dekalb advanced over Rockford East by a score of 3-2 in a game the was called in the 6th inning due to bad weather, the question I have is who makes this decision to call the game and why would the Rockford East coach agree to it? In a close game in the playoffs why wouldn't you continue the game on Monday especially since the next round isn't until Wednesday?

Once the game starts it's the umpires call to continue or end the game. The coaches have no input once the game starts, though they tend to offer ''suggestions' depending on the current score.

Better than Soccer. If game is called for lightening at Half, whoever is up wins the game.

it is the home teams manager's call whether to start the game. once it is started, it is home plate umpire decision. This came into play in recent years with the Phillies in the World Series.. The game was official and MLB decided to continue it the next day. Vegas ,however; honored the winning tickets of MLB by-laws of what constituted an official game.

By rule 5 innings is a complete game. As stated, once the game starts it is the umpire decision to continue or not.
