In the larger classes, there have been some pretty dominant teams leading into the semi-final match-ups.
The following schools all have a +100 scoring margin through 3 games.
8A
LWE 108-0!!

7A
Batavia 146-31
MC 149-39

6A
ESL 154-20
Wash 139-30

5A
JCA 145-30

Even more impressive is Byron in 3A. They have outscored their opponents 191-22!!!

Agreed, which is why I am so shocked that some states (Virginia, Indiana) operate a playoff like that.
I'm sorry but I guarantee you if IHSA went everybody gets in that any Catholic Team 1-8 or 2-7 would smoke a 7-2,8-1 or most 9-0'CPS teams.Sorry it's a fact.

No way. Fenwick just lost to Simeon and MP last year. MP just played MC closer than any CCL team, except for LA.

Yea very random and off-topic comment.

It's a fact that any 2-7 CCL team will smoke most 9-0 CPL teams? Cmon man.
  • Morgan Park beat Fenwick in 2022 and Viator in 2021
  • Kenwood beat Fenwick to open 2018
  • In 2017 Phillips beat Loyola to open the season and Simeon beat St. Ignatius in the prep bowl.
And those are all hardly 2-7 CCL teams.

The CCL is WAY better than the public league, but that's a clown statement and a false absolute.

Sure, Marimion is going to beat Dyett. Leo is not going to beat Kenwood. It's no where near black and white.
