Chicago Simeon High School fresh off a full page story in Friday's Chicago Sun-Times baseball prep section, made the long drive from the south side of Chicago to the western suburbs to play Elmhurst York High School.

In a rain shortened four inning game the Dukes prevailed 5-3. After giving up a run in the top of the first to Simeon, York's left fielder Matt Williams connected on a two run home run to deep center field. Several bases-on-balls and fielding errors by Simeon added to York's lead.

York scored it final run by a solo home run by catcher "Leo" Leone. The game was halted in the top of the fifth when the grounds crew (York players) covered the pitching mound and batters box. After a thirty minute delay the game was called. Garcia was the winning pitcher for York.
