Impact Player for DeLaSalle:

DeLaSalle senior WR/DB David Coffey is already holding several FCS scholarship offers and he continues to draw more recruiting interest this summer. Coffey has impressive speed, is a very fluid athlete who also has some twitch and explosiveness. Coffey on video shows his overall versatility (WR/Slot/DB/KR/PR) and his game is no question higher level.

EDGY's Quick Take on the 2023 DeLaSalle Meteors:

DeLaSalle and second year head coach Marty Quinn played a ton of underclassmen names in his first season in 2022 as the Meteors posted a 1-8 record last season. DeLaSalle played 7 playoff teams in it's nine game regular season schedule in 2022 and will hopefully benefit this fall from returning several key names from a season ago. The Meteors last made the IHSA state playoff field in 2017 and has been in the postseason just twice (2017/2013) since the 2009 season.

The biggest question facing DeLaSalle in 2023? Can the Meteors raise it'soverall game, get marked improvement s from a experienced team in 2023 and maybe get into the IHSA postseason this fall? The key I feel this fall for the Meteors is getting off to a quick start and have what I feel are three opening games where DeLaSalle has a fighting chance again this season. I'll say DeLaSalle finds a way and gets to the 5-4/4-5 level in 2023.
