Impact Player for Sycamore:
Senior QB Eli Meier (6-foot-1, 180 pounds) is an experienced signal caller who sure looks to be coming into his prime for Sycamore this coming season. Meier is a true dual threat leading the Spartans offense and Meier has a very strong and accurate arm along with showing good overall mobility inside and outside of the pocket. Look for Meier to draw increased recruiting looks and attention this summer and fall.

The Spartans (9-3) made the 2021 Class 5A state playoff field and defeated Evergreen Park, Glenbard South and St Patrick before losing to eventual state champion Fenwick in the semifinal round. Look for the Spartans and veteran head coach Joe Ryan to lean on an experienced roster back for the 2022 season including 9 starters back on offense. The biggest question for the Spartans this summer is can they develop a bit more depth and overall numbers to make a deep post-season tun again in 2022? Look for the Spartans to be one of the front runners in the Kishwaukee River/Interstate 8 White conference race.
