Andrew @ LW West
LWE @ Brook
Sandburg @ Stagg
Bradley @ LW Central
HF
@ Lockport

Things get more spicy this week. Andrew/LWW for sole possession of first place in Red division.

Can Lockport continue at a high level for a 2nd game?

Huge game for playoff implications between Bradley and LWC. With LWW, HF, East left on LW Central schedule, this is a must win to make playoffs.

Of course game of the week East and Brook. Full display of talent, great coaching, and a respected rivalry. Going to be a great one.

Sandburg can continue to keep improving and make some noise here with a win over Stagg.

Have fun boys.

Andy - looks like they were somewhat competitive against H-F while LWW took it on the chin against Hersey but handled Evanston. Sadly I'll take the T Bolts

East - Brook is a solid team, but hasn't been tested and has some things to work out. East has been East and that continues

Burg - Eagles showed they could play battling highly regarded Hillcrest to a one score game. Stagg is struggling.

SWSC GOTW - Bradley eeks out the W over LWC who struggles to get the offense going.

HF defeats Lockport handily

Bones- since when does Brook run the triple option? Was surprised to see that

They've been trying to run it out of the double wing since Ivlow took over in '02. Only successful years were the Bailey years (11-12) when he was healthy. So '02, '03 a little with freshman Dale Martin, '10, '11, '12, '13, '14 and 19

You know, this SWSC split by enrollment may really cause the small schools to rethink their 2 openers. With supposedly 3 mandated cross-overs with the large division, taking 2 losses annually there (LWE, HF, 'Brook, resurgent Lockport) is a distinct possibility. Then, within small division play of 4 games among Andrew, Bradley, LWC, LWW and Stagg, at least 2 of those would be toss-ups every season for each school. Take a loss in one of the non-cons and the margin of error to qualify is small. Or - will this be a moot point with the advent of district play?

Can you schedule worse than Little Village and isn't this the same thing you like to rail against the SSC for? Scheduling bad teams.

The SSC has only 1 mandated cross-over and it is against a team with the same place-of-finish from the other division during the previous season. That seems much different than 3 SWSC required cross-overs all against the larger-division schools that are guaranteed to exceed your enrollment by 700 students at the minimum.

HF @ Lockport

As you can see, I am going with two underdogs this week in Bradley and Andrew. I also feel that HF will beat Lockport but I think it will be a little bit closer than people maybe thinking.

Andrew 17-7 over West.
Bradley 28-27 2OT over Central.

Per Twitter LWE qb on crutches and LWW qb in sling by halftime. Hopefully 2 LW teams aren't without starters for too long.

Heard something crazy...Andrew received ball 2nd half and had possession until 10 min in 4th qtr. Option running and milked play clock entire time...west couldn't stop anything and has 2 possessions total 2nd half. Impressive.

I was told it was a 23 play, 14:00 touchdown drive to open the 2nd half. And then LWW went 3&out the following possession. Tough hard nosed football. Heard LWW QB broke is collarbone as well

Southside74- I will give you a nod. However,” your statement in the H-F vs Lockport game “being a little bit closer” loses you quality style points for sure. Unless 40-0 is your margin for closer. Keep up the good work!

You are right. I thought Lockport would make the game a little more interesting

For an Edgy rookie you are a welcome breath of fresh air. Still recovering from the actual skunk at the Brook near the visitors stands Friday night. Keep up the good work.

It was actually our offensive playcalling you smelled.

Bones...it was a skunk. Play calls as well were questionable from the Brook.

Congrats Southside! Sorry been busy. Keep it rolling. Will continue to do this thread and always enjoy more talk on SWSC teams on the board.
