They have 2,700 students. New Trier has 2,900. Both suck at football. The kids there choose not to play football. What's really mind boggling is putting Naperville Central in the weaker red division. Why isn't Naper Central in the Big Boy division?

You can’t base it off of enrollment. Just because Metea has 2900 students doesn’t make them a big boy player in the upper division.

The entire setup in this SW Valley is flawed no doubt. I hope the DVC can add a few teams and regroup. Maybe Wheaton North and South can admit their mistake and return. They feared the Valley schools and fled the conference. Turns out the Valley schools are beatable.

Metea has 2941 Go look at the IHA website You'll see it I don't go by what Great Schools says or anything thing else... Their enrollment is actually bigger than North's, Centra'ls and Lincoln-Way East's enrollments...Central has an IHSA enrillment of 2591...All the schools in the blue have bigger enrollments than Central, even North ...

Every team in the red division had bigger enrollments then Central except Lincoln Way West...... I'm not a big proponent of the enrollment policy myself but that's the way it goes.. I wanted Central in the same group as North and Neuqua. The Redhawks rivalry with the Wildcats was disrupted by this season and it caused the central versus north game at NCC to be moved to the beginning of the season as a non-conference game so they could keep playing Because they determined the crossovers by a lottery. Central drew LW East and Lockport from the blue and Stagg from the green..

Anyway....it's a moot point now because Central and Metea are moving into what is now the blue division next season. IMO Sandburg should be joining up with the blue division schools along with Central, and Metea should go into the other group.. ..

GN and Lake Park are farther away from the other DVC schools. Wheaton/ Warrenville is Naperville's closest neighbor. Better geographically.
