I think it is time to have this discussion. The data seems pretty solid that they work. $70 per cap may seem high, but to prevent concussions and CTE its a pittance.

If it means we can keep football, I'm all for them. Idc how they look, I want safety and I want football.

The NFL's Chief Medical Officer stated last week that some helmets are testing even better than helmets with the caps on. So we are trending very well in the right direction

I assume you mean for the NFL...it may be a hard sell to promote psychedelic use for high school and youth athletes.

Any equipment that promotes safety and gives parents peace (piece?) of mind that gets numbers up is a good thing.

I think you're more likely to see teams make the ball uncatchable by kicking on a line drive. Kicking teams can move once the ball lands in the "catching zone" whether it's touched or caught or not.

We won't totally know until regular season starts but yes I can see that as well.
