Former Naperville Central quarterback Tim Lavery passed away at age 45 on July 28, 2024 in Colorado surrounded by family and friends. Tim is survived by his parents Kathleen and Kevin Lavery, sister Kelly Lavery and his niece Charlotte. Loved by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends from different aspects of his life. Raised in Naperville, Illinois Tim resided in the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge Colorado.
Tim attended Naperville Central High School ('96) and then the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management. While at Naperville Central and the University of Illinois he excelled in both baseball and football.
Tim's pro sports career path started as a professional baseball player in the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations. A career ending injury led Tim to the Medical Device industry where he specialized in complex spine equipment .The beautiful mountains of Colorado led Tim to employment with Vail Industries and a home in Breckenridge Colorado until the time of his passing.
A Celebration of Life for Tim Lavery will be held at 10:30 to 2:30 pm at the Bolingbrook Country Club on August 17th. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 1:30 pm. The address is 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook Illinois. Please join others to celebrate Tim's life and share your memories.
