Here is the latest recruiting news on Montini Catholic OL/DL Michael Ross.
"Practice is going great and we are just getting ready for Week 1."
"Illinois State, Northern Illinois and South Dakota State all want to see my early senior tape."
"Also Walsh, Saginaw Valley State and Minn St. Moorhead have also been interested. WIU invited me to come out to see a game and I'll visit them along with a few others for games this season."
Does Ross have any personal goals set for the season?
"At the end of the day I just want to get better every week and have the best season I can. I want to help my team earn another ring."
So how does your senior season feel so far?
"It feels surreal. It feels like just yesterday I walked onto that Montini field as a freshman and now it's senior year. It's crazy how fast it goes."
My Thoughts on Michael Roos recruiting: I saw Ross this summer at the NIU linemen camp and he was easily one of the better names at the camp. Ross could be a nice late addition for say an NIU/ISU as a DT and has the overall physical tools to become a NIU caliber sleeper type. Ross has good size and I really liked him playing DL yet is also a very strong OL type here as well. If not the NIU sleeper type or a higher level FCS like ISU...Ross no question could play at the higher D2 level.
