Souc has got it all for us

Long-ago small school grid power Marian central of Woodstock has enrollment now under 350 and is only Catholic High in MCHenry County which in terms of square miles seems pretty darn big. How low can a school go before it shuts its doors? and this is unique in that there is not a Catholic school close by for an alternative.

More on Marian’s plight. In past 50 years, public school additions: mchenry split into Johnsburg, Woodstock split into Woodstock North, crystal Lake now CL Central split into CL South and prairie Ridge, the dundee/crown/Hampshirie district added Jacobs. Huntley went from a tiny school on route 47 to a behemoth. Richmond, Harvard, Alden-Hebron and Marengo still relatively small. I mean Marian’s like a 2a fb school now and closer to 1a than 3a given the Enrolment trend. Strange.

Did MCC use to do better in CL and Algonquin? I recall some posters saying that Viator now has a significant reach in those areas.

I think a lot of factors. I know a few alum and they are not happy with the direction of the school where he last ten years. I think that has to be a major factor when alumni support is that bad. Bryan Bulaga won’t return their calls. Not good.
