Time for one of Calumet City's favorite Sons to pay a visit to his Alma Mater
A pork chop sammich and two undefeateds in Morris seems like a pleasant Friday.
That's right.. I forgot the Spartans of Sycamore coming. an old Little 7 matchup. 4A did you know that Sycamore won the very first and very last Little 7 conference championships?
Love me some obscure facts! Should be a great game, but I think Morris squeaks out the win at home.
Here are a few that caught my eye:

You have a very good eye! Three games involve teams which more than likely end up in the 5A South Bracket with higher seeds: Mahomet (Seymour), JCA, and Morton (the Potters will be one of the highest seeds if they win their game). If Morris goes 5A, then that is yet another higher-seeded 5A South team.
Yeah like every State Championship you've won and I can also name several other non state finals.....but if it makes you sleep better...keep living that lie.
I can tell you there may be a fan base that would pay appearance fees in the upper range allowable to have a visit to a game by Tim…

The days of police escorts for officials on and off the field may be over, and the Ghosts of Dergo Past may be a fading memory for some (unless in attendance like me); but the leaves are falling on and a crescent moon will be shining through the forest of trees bordering a western horizon behind the Home stands on a crisp and chilly October night...

But, if you take the tollway north to Route 60 east, you can get right to Mundelein (4-4) at Lake Forest (4-4).
Winner to playoffs. Loser turns in equipment on Saturday morning.
Interesting story lines:
Mundelein hasn't been to playoffs since 2004 and the reason is that it can't beat Lake Forest, Stevenson, Libertyville, Warren and Lake Zurich. Team started 4-0 against bottom feeders and is now 4-4 with Friday being its last chance.
Lake Forest has not missed the. playoffs 2 years in a row since 2004-2005. The Scouts missed last year. In last three games against quality opponents, LF has been outscored 101-13. Yet, because it is by far the smallest school in its conference, LF is always a dangerous floater come playoff time. The trick this year, of course, is to get there.
Note, big stadium. Big. press box. Stadium is really nice. Parking is piss-poor and leaning toward nil.
