Moline might have to forfeit up to its first nine game of the season for inadvertently using an ineligible player in those games. They are awaiting an IHSA ruling on the matter. The player in question transferred to Moline from a private school. The player attended kindergarten through ninth grade in the Moline system, transferred out, and then returned this season.
The IHSA rules state that players are ineligible unless they are transferring into a public system for the first time.

The volume of rules and regulations that the IHSA has on things like this just blows me away. Seems to me they are far too concerned with who can't play than who can.

Would it kill the IHSA to report scores on ScoreZone? Thye're still showing basketball. Okay, if not scores, maybe a list of the games for each school? Anything?
