Week 6 is going to be insanely good some serious matchups that week state wide
Because Rochester has a Saturday game, I will be going to SHG at Chatham the night before. Chatham won in 2018 and 2019 after a very long drought. SHG has won big the last three times. Expecting a huge crowd.Week 6 is going to be insanely good some serious matchups that week state wide
Our contingent will be there as well. We rather enjoy sitting among the Chathamites to hear their whining and complaining.Because Rochester has a Saturday game, I will be going to SHG at Chatham the night before. Favorite football memory. 2013 Rochester at Chatham. Both teams unbeaten. Watched with my son's JFL coach on the hill behind the goal post. A close game for a half but Rochester pulls away to win 28-7. Lots of grumbling by the Chatham fans over the conservative play calling. With a few minutes left in the 4th, there was a huge fan exodus from the Chatham side. As one guy trudged past us wearing his old school gear (w/the former school nickname), he looked up for a second at us, said "F Rochester", and continued his trek to the parking lot.Our contingent will be there as well. You story is one of the many reasons I don’t care for their fanbase. The incident which sealed the deal was in 2019 when it was confirmed there was a betting pool on which Chatham defensive player would injure one of the Rochester players. There was a moment when Rochester’s star receiver, Hank Beatty, was hit late out of bounds on the Chatham sideline and stayed down to collect himself. The student cheering section cheered and continued to cheer while the trainers tended to him. There were several incidents during that game. Enough so that when Rochester went South to play Mascoutah in the 5A semifinal, many of the rEocket Fanbase attended the East St. Louis versus Glenwood semifinal and cheered along with the Flyers as the Crimsons. were decimated. The glenwood fans were oddly well behaved and quiet.
