Makes sense to me. Losing to Kankakee 42-0 in the first round is much better than losing 42-0 to Naz in the second rd. Im sure the folks around the GBS program feel alot better about this years loss.Avoiding 5A privates
lol i know. I hope thats a lesson for all these teams moaning about having to play privates that you cant hide the fact you just arent very good at football.I didn't say it was a smart decision lol
Donors aka "the parents" and the constant fund raising they do. The whispers are becoming louder.Donors?
What whispers? It's not like they're trying to return to some sort of former glory. Glenbard South has forever been just an average football team, at best. They have one 10 win season in their history.Donors aka "the parents" and the constant fund raising they do. The whispers are becoming louder.
You are correct, from what I am told it's more about showing signs of improvement and being competitive against mid teams. The HC does really well with getting his kids looks and stats but has a horrible record against teams he should be at least competitive against like Glenbard East, South Elgin. No one there expects wins against the likes of Naz or Kankakee it's more those mid teams. He schedules games against Aurora East and Larkin and wonders why his team can't compete when playing mid teams. To his credit he did schedule a home and home with Wheaton Warrenville South starting this season. What whispers? It's not like they're trying to return to some sort of former glory. Glenbard South interests me. What are the youth programs like there? They get a lot of kids from unincorporated Wheaton & Glen Ellyn? Eight minute drive straight south of GBW but worlds apart in terms of athletic success.
