I would have never thought that JCA would come close to covering the 21 point spread. Excellent job Hillmen.
JCA 1 TD and 4 Field Goals, when's the last time that happened? JCA almost scored at the end of the game to cover the spread but being classy they took 3 knee's with 1st and goal.

Dillan Johnson was unblockable in that game. Max Hrvatin dominated as well. Best JCA defensive performance I can recall in a long time.
Yeah the front 7 for JCA's D have been impressive so far, and it appeared that the DB's were playing better. The softest spot on the team appears to be at RB, outside of H.J. who's very good, nobody has really emerged as a complimentary power RB (AKA fullback). Usually JCA has a Stable full of power backs.
I think Providence is just really hard to run the ball against. I wouldn't count those kids out as being viable backs.
I'm not trying to write anybody off, they may all be quite capable of taking pressure off H.J., but they only take pressure off if Jaws is willing to trust them in more crucial situations. Right now the ball seems to always go to H.J. in those situations.

Worth noting that the majority of the defensive front seems to have been on the wrestling roster. The rejuvenation of that program is huge for the school as a whole and football program. Providence used to benefit from stuff like that in their wrestling heyday. Now, the Hilltoppers have more of those wrestling kids and that's a testament to the complete 180 the wrestling program has done in recent years.
Very true. Seems as if they are rotating 5 guys on the D-line. 4 of the 5 are wrestlers.
Northwestern has an away game this week.
Possible that as a Freshman he is not traveling.
