Senior OL/DL Cannon Leonard (6-foot-10, 265 pounds) is a Power 5 name who is already verbally committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Leonard, who is a multi-sport athlete (football/basketball/track) will be asked to provide leadership and production on both sides fo the line for the Raiders again this fall.

The Raiders (8-3) made the 2021 Class 1A state playoff field, defeated Monmouth United in opening round action then lost to Abington Avon in second round action. The Raiders made the IHSA state football playoffs for the first time since 2006 and is seeking back to back playoff appearances for the first time since the 2002/2003 seasons. Look for the Raiders to rely heavily on the big and physical offensive and defensive line play and the Raiders look to be in line to challenge for the Vermillion Valley North title race this fall.
