It's quarterfinals weekend, and if your team is still alive congratulations. It's hard to pick upsets this far along, because every team is really good. For this week's upset we'll go to the 8A bracket. This week's upset is..... The 8-3 Panthers of Glenbard North over the 10-1 Porters of Lockport. Glenbard has lost 3 games this year, but the points lost by in those 3 games is a total of 5. Lockport is having an amazing year, crushing teams with huge offensive totals, and a dominant defense. Should be a thriller in Lockport tomorrow. Final score...... Glenbard North 35 - Lockport 28. That's this week's upset. What are your thoughts and who is your upset?

I'm gonna say Phillips is gonna end Richmond/Burton's long winning streak and upset the Rockets
Sounds good to me, I couldn't find film on RB, but if they running the same offensive from 2019 state run I think Phillips can shut the run down and force them to throw it.

The game is at Glenbard North, not Lockport. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00. Another dangerous game. As long as the defense holds up the Porters will win.

You think Naz over Fenwick is an upset? I think Naz is gonna win, just dont know if it is an upset or not.
Mild upset at best. Fenwick has been more highly regarded throughout the year and is senior-laden. Naz' young players have really come on. Watched them against Marmion and was impressed.

Surprised you were impressed by that game.

Fresh off a thrilling, chilling, no doubt about it win over IHSA 7A #1 seed Batavia, the young upstart Mt Carmel Caravan walk in to Tom Mitchell Stadium and hang a 50 burger on the AP's #1 rated 7A Crusaders thus ending the Badke era. Hopefully the focus goes on the young Caravan's next step towards another title and not locker rooms, bleachers, port-a-johns, tailgating in the McAuley lot or food trucks.

I thought maybe the biggest play of the game was the frosh QB's scramble for a 1st down on 4th and 13 in the 4th qtr. when the game was tied at 14. For a freshman to make that play in that situation was impressive. The game was a bit of a slog, but Naz made the plays when they needed to. Heard a lot about the two receivers, but I liked the Jr. RB Miller as well.

not a ton to like. Considered prospect over Jacobs, glenbrook over Marist but will settle on Phillips over Richmond Burton.

If the high 30s temps and 10+ mph winds (or anything else) neutralize the chunk plays of the Lockport passing game, their defense will need to hold up in what may be a close game.

I got two, not sure how much of an upset either is though.

GBN over Lockpork
Jacobs over Prospect

Also expect Neuqua to win, but I think they are at least a 7 point fav

MC over BR in a close game. But the higher the score the better the chance BR wins at home.
