Biggest Question facing St. Laurence this fall?

Can the Vikings reload and replace several key graduated starter from the spring 2021 season? The Vikings graduated a very strong and experienced senior class this spring, including standout multi-year starting QB Darius Wilson (Army). While the Vikings always seem to find a way, replacing a player the likes of Wilson and several others will no question be the biggest summer task for the Vikings and head coach Adam Nissan.

Impact Player for St. Laurence: Senior LB Ryan Carroll. Carroll was one of a handful of returning starters back on defense this season for the Vikings. Carroll will be asked to provide even more production and leadership on and off the field for St.Laurence this fall.

EDGY's Quick Take on the St. Laurence Vikings: St. Laurence has a ramped up schedule this fall including a killer last four weeks (@ JCA/@MC/@Notre Dame and hosting Providence) that eill no question challenge a younger and less experienced team this fall. The early portion of the schedule is winnable but also not a given. If the Vikings can find some answers in a few key spots (QB/OL/DL) they will challenge for a potential state playoff spot.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 1 versus Moline. St. Laurence will need to win out it's early portion of the schedule to have any realistic shot at a state playoff berth this fall. Moline has an experienced team coming back this fall and will be a big Week 1 challenge for the Vikings. Win that game and the Vikings could go on a early roll.
