Not sure what the Soph numbers are. That has to be a first in the 100 plus history of the school - I am assuming this means even their Soph team has some low numbers too
What does this even mean?If DLS was in the CPL, they would forfeit this week due to lack of players, then come back next week with 20 new guys, then hang 60 on Naz next week.
Every week there are forfeits in the CPL. Half of the time, those teams come back the next week and not only play, but win in dominating fashion. Just one of the great quirks of Chicago Public League Football. What does this even mean?
He was an amazing recruiter, I'll give him thatAn H.B. special project. Seems like St. L had some success in the past despite H.B., not due to.
When HB took over SL they were on their second decade of being a consistently below average program with little success. He brought them to the State semifinals two years in a row and then the State Quarterfinals. After a bad season in 2019 he was let go. Reasons vary as to why.An H.B. special project. For the record, chicago public league teams that lost a 1-0 forfeit game and then played a game the next week have the following records via my counting on ihsa websitesIf DLS was in the CPL, they would forfeit this week due to lack of players, then come back next week with 20 new guys, then hang 60 on Naz next week.
It was discussed on here & Edgy had to flush the topic. Edgy issue a stern warning to some & a few got banishment. No it wasn’t me. I liked Harold but there were some issues at STL so I stayed out of it because I also like many at StLWhen HB took over SL they were on their second decade of being a consistently below average program with little success. LISLE might be the second school to do the same this week.
With these forfeit games taking place… do we need to reduce the number of classes in the state????
I was wondering if that might not happen.LISLE might be the second school to do the same this week.
Where did you pull that number from?Yes, but not for the reason you think.
They should be reduced because there are about 10,000 fewer kids playing Illinois High School football now than there were when the number of classes was increased from six to eight.
According to NFHS participation statistics, 36,810 students participated in 11-man football in Illinois last year. In 2001-02, when we went from 6 to 8 classes, that participation number stood at 46,759.Where did you pull that number from?
No. Start same week as Indiana & everybody gets in including those lower level CPS conferencesIt needs to go back to 6 classes
That’s depressing to hearWell Marian Catholic is now looking for a week 9 varsity game per IHSA website. Looks DLS season is over on the varsity level.
Bloom has only 8 games & may need a 9th to get in the playoffs. Big $$$$$ game too. Play it mid week somewhere after week 8 game? On a Tuesday in week 9?That’s depressing to hear
