Coach Percy was kind enough to give us a look into the bracket of the CPL, so we will go with the Top 5 from each of Land of Lincoln and Red Bird as the top 10 seeds. Then the remaining 6 seeds will come in as conference winners from the Illini conferences. Now there's a lot left to play for that can still be decided this week with all but 1 of the Illini conferences having a winner take all game. We have some huge games this weekend as Clark squares off against Payton. Kennedy and Steinmetz face off which the winner could tie at top of the conference should North Lawndale slip up. Julian and Carver play outright for the conference title as does Amundsen and Sullivan and Brooks and Hyde Park. The only team that appears to have clinched it's conference is Goode. That being said I will go ahead and predict the winner of the rest of the conferences (game analysis to come in our other favorite weekly thread!)

Prairie State: Clark
Windy City: Amundsen
Heartland: North Lawndale
Big Shoulders: Brooks
Second City: Julian
Great Lakes: Goode

Taking only 10 from the Red Bird and Land of Lincoln drops out Curie and Lincoln Park. Projecting winners for the final regular season game in the CPL gives us the top 10 seeds and gives us the following projections for our first round/Week 9 matchups...

Julian @ Phillips

North Lawndale @ Kenwood

Goode @ Morgan Park

Brooks @ Taft

Amundsen @ Whitney

Clark @ Simeon

Hubbard @ Lane

Perspectives @ Westinghouse

Are all the Illini conference teams eligible for the IHSA playoffs? Or, is it all of the Red Bird and Land of Lincoln teams are eligible, and just the champions from the other Illini conferences?

MaxPreps rankings don’t update until Monday or Tuesday I believe. Not sure if he’s using the rankings or just matching up conferences to the Red Bird and Land of Lincoln though.
