CORRECTION No streaming of MC/ DGN

Heard Carmels top lineman is out for rest of year with a knee injury and qb dislocated his shoulder. Haven’t heard if he’s playing

What do you mean, "or maybe not?
Hearing there will be no stream available for tomorrows game. The maybe not was in reference to the link that Caravan football provided. It’s not a direct link.

Not even going to be on the last resort NFHS. Get to the game or follow on Twitter

I've never been able to get answers to this situation. Let's say DGN decided to stream on youtube, facebook live, whatever- who is actively searching to fine them? Does NFHS automatically know if a school streams somewhere else? Someone's job to look for that? Then, if they are caught...a fine is given? I've talked to multiple coaches/ADs who could not answer how or why any punishment would occur, only that they are not "supposed to" because NFHS/IHSA said so.

I think it's less than. $500.

It goes up each round and differs for each sport.

Football round 1 is $250, round 2 is $325, quarterfinal is $400, and semifinal is $475.

Full schedule of fees is available here on page 2: https://www.ihsa.org/documents/media/Video Ap.pdf

If a school is an NFHS broadcast school, they can stream all games, including post season, via NFHS for free.

IHSA has an agreement with NFHS that stipulates that they have the first go at media rights for the post season. If there's an unlicensed stream available, they'll work with the platform to remove it, but I believe they can also go back and bill the school for the media rights. Facebook and Youtube tend to be very responsive to takedown requests.

There's not a good way to automatically know, but its hard to advertise enough so regular people can know without advertising so much that it doesn't leak to NFHS. All it takes is 1 tipster and suddenly a school is on the hook for $250+. It just isn't worth the dice roll to many schools.

I wish schools would just say screw NFHS, here's your $1,500 we're gonna broadcast on Youtube like we've done all year.

I can’t find anything for the Rita/Prospect game, not even NFHS

With wind gusts of 25 mph, some schools may not have the infrastructure. Remember the incident at Notre Dame.

But why did IHSA agree to give NFHS financial and and technical control of the playoffs? NFHS is like a hedge fund. Although it contributes nothing to the sport, it's making money off it.

MC lost its three best players, Dupree, Dowling, and, I think, Asher Tomaszewski. I hope the remaining players dedicate the season to their fallen brothers.

The IHSA is a part owner of NFHS network. It's essentially a coop from my understanding.

It’s 2022 and we have to rely on IHSA score zone for playoff updates like it’s 2003
