has in fact, finalized the date to play Colquitt County, on August 31st? The official Packer schedule came out yesterday, stating that ESL was a done deal! THEN today, there were unsubstantiated reports that, due to the firing of our world renown coach! They have backed out of the deal! WHAT GIVES? Inquiring minds, would like to know!

Aren't there legal ramifications to backing out of a DONE DEAL? We're not talking P Nuts heah! A Colquitt home game, what with gate receipts and concessions, is a financial setback in the $150,000 plus range! Are we to refer this case to Richard Jewell's personal injury attorney?

I can assure you ESL NEVER signed a contract to play in Georgia this year. A proposal was made and the counter offer was never met. If you make $150k per game, you should offer a lot more to a traveling team that what was proposed! The expense to Georgia from any team in Illinois is around $20k

It would be a breach of contract, not a tort.

WELL, Trinity jumped all OVER their deal last season! They took the BUS, and left the driving to us! And they stayed in Motel Two outside of Atlanta, before the LOOOOONG trip to the lil S E C!

As an aside, do you Midwestern girls actually PLAY FOOTBALL? After Trinity lost to ESL in 3OT, they went on a thousand point scoring tear, to win the MIZZZZZOU state championship! And word has it, that Lovie has recruited half of the Trinity team to Illinois! Conversely, we had three power five signees this last offseason, yet beat Trinity 42-14! Course, those three signees went to FSU, Auburn, and LSU! The top kicker in America, an OL, and a shutdown corner!

But HEY, if we can find another coach who can take the pressure of coaching up a team in the only high school indoor practice facility on the Eastern Seaboard, we'll leave the light on for you!

Trinity has never traveled before. ESL has been traveling for 10 plus years. Huge difference when negotiating a contract! Bottom line is ESL is playing Batavia week one.
