Bolingbrook junior three tar ranked wide receiver Kendall Smith visited Michigan State earlier this week. Smith is on spring break this week and talks about his Spartans visit and much more here.

"The visit to Michigan State was nice," according to Smith, who also visited MSU with teammate Izayah Green-May. "I really liked it at Michigan State. I like the coaching staff and get along well with them. They also seem to like me. They went over my highlight video and said they would like to see more Yards After The Catch from me next season. Michigan State said that they are interested in me and they also talked about camping with them this summer."

Smith is also making another visit today.

"I'm going to visit Wisconsin on Thursday."

Does Smith have an favorites?

"Out of the schools who have offered me I would say that Bowling Green and Nevada are my two favorites. I visited BGSU already and I liked it. I haven't seen Nevada just yet but I get along really well with my recruiting coach (Lester Erb) and I plan on visiting them soon."

How about a time frame for Smith?

"I'm in no rush. I just want to see how it all goes for now. I'm considering just waiting until after my senior year to decide. I want to have a great senior season. I was ok as a junior and I just feel that I'm ready to have a great season. Several college coaches said they like me but want to see how well I can do from last year to this year. They want to re-evaluate me and I'm willing to hold off on a decision."

EDGY's Thoughts on Smith: I'm very surprised that Kendall Smith hasn't drawn more Power 5 offers at this stage. Smith has terrific skills and with a strong early senior year could wind up being recruited harder by a few Power 5 schools.
