Now that St. Mary's is closing, he is back in Belleville.

He certainly can’t make things anything worse for the Maroons. There is plenty of talent in Belleville and a proven coach should help draw/keep some of that on their football field.

I know he's a good coach but having the horses will be everything here....especially looking at who else they need to compete with and against.

St. Louis has been a fertile ground for other schools in that area. Maybe he can tap into that to.

All.... Well that 2016 team of his was better then good. He put that one together in the area. Of course then that quarterfinal game Crusader fans still talk about every now and then came along. Ratsy

BW is a tough job. Lots of internal stuff to navigate through and he likely needs to purge everything involved with the fb program. Luckily BW is getting a new principal next year who will be more inclined to turn them around.

He walked into Kevin Coleman and some other studs at St. Mary's - a handful going D1 from this year.

St. Mary's is year to year in remaining open. It is a smart move to get something more stable. He has an uphill battle in terms of getting BW to the level he is leaving.

A few months ago St. Marys announced they were closing the school, however shortly after they announced they were staying open. The uncertainty there probably played a factor for Turner.

Also, I believe when he left Althoff he said he took the St. Marys job because he wanted to be closer to home/kids. I dont believe he lives in Belleville.
