He was projected to be a starter this year....maybe Tyler Morris or an impact freshman leaped frogged him in the Spring....kind of a late entry so I’m guessing something happened along those linesI see that he’s entered the transfer portal.
I hope he finds a place where he can crack the starting lineup.
This is the second window for football. There was one after fall season and one after spring. Probably saw the writing on the wall. Hopefully he can get to a spot that will feature him similar to how the Illini got the ball into I Williams hands in a variety of ways.He was projected to be a starter this year....maybe Tyler Morris or an impact freshman leaped frogged him in the Spring....kind of a late entry so I’m guessing something happened along those lines
Got it, still getting used to how this transfer portal works...Iowa is desperate for playmakersThis is the second window for football. There was one after fall season and one after spring. Maybe Illinois. After that season last year I'd hope the higher rated in state players can start to look at them seriously. This is the second window for football. I agree. AJ needs playing time, too much talent to be used sparingly. He is dangerous every time he touches the ball.Great news! I really think he will flourish there!!
Yep. Give the man 15+ touchesI agree. AJ needs playing time, too much talent to be used sparingly. He is dangerous every time he touches the ball.
Tbh probably a bad fit for Michigans offense. He’s more of a space player and Michigan is more of power pro style offense. The qb play is the one question I’d have on this. If Bryant can stabilize the qb play then this is a great move.Any thing to point to regarding his falling down the depth chart on the offensive side of the ball as the years progressed?
This remark sounds like a back handed slap? Am I reading you wrong. I would say AJ had an excellent high school career. He wasn’t getting the playing time at Michigan but when he did he was dynamic. I am not sure where you’re coming from. I wish AJ nothing but the best at NW.Hot take: AJ had a few good foot races and a decent high school career.
Do the same rules apply to EStL??? Every time their players failure in college are mentioned you would think it’s the end of the world. He is a grown man now - we can speak honestly.
Exactly not every player makes it to the NFL. AJ is doing it the right way, getting his education at two premier schools. Not bad, let’s see how he does at NW. 👍Henning is a sprinter that plays football. Lots of players like him over time. Not many have panned out. Glad he has a Michigan degree and going for a Northwestern Masters, he has used football to his advantage in life.
I expect some big plays for AJ at NW. This is a good move for him both academically and athletically. Good for him! Smart move!! Go to a team that wants and needs you while earning a masters degree from a top respected university! Well done!Henning, much like Kaleb Brown, was a running back through most of high school. Used part time as a WR. Most of his football training was as a RB. Speed is there and he can sprint, but when you go to a place like Michigan or in Browns case OSU, your lining up with guys who have been 5 star WR their whole life, and been training as WR. Henning was used as such at Michigan. He was the return man and did jet sweeps but they had more talented WR to throw too. At NU, which is in desperate need of plate makers and speed, he will have his chance to stand out. I think when Brown went to Iowa, he made up his mind he wasn’t going there. I thought it would be Illinois but NU is a good spot for him on the field and with the degree.
Cool you invented a rule.He is a grown man now - we can speak honestly.
I follow Edgys rules, not some guy who rips local athletes celebrating a new school for literally no reason. So follow it.
Well, you do you. If you’re a Big Ten coach, are you giving him 15 touches to carry the game?I follow Edgys rules, not some guy who rips local athletes celebrating a new school for literally no reason.
As much as I want to respond it’s not worth it. You don’t get it.Well, you do you. If you’re a Big Ten coach, are you giving him 15 touches to carry the game?
Yep, you responded. Why don’t you respond with whether you would stake your livelihood on giving him 15 touches a game. That was your idea above. As much as I want to respond it’s not worth it. You don’t get it.
If I was a Big Ten coach I wouldn't be on Edgys board trying to remake his rules.Well, you do you. If you’re a Big Ten coach, are you giving him 15 touches to carry the game?
Corey, agree it’s a good opportunity for him no matter what happens in the future!I expect some big plays for AJ at NW. This is a good move for him both academically and athletically. Good for him!
