Addison West- (Cary Grove 2018) Outland Semifinalist

Addison is a great kid. I had him as a 4th grader playing middleweight, which was mainly 6th graders, and I made a comment, Who's this West kid, he's big and really athletic, but he sure is goofy. That was when I was informed he was two years younger than the rest of the team.

It will be interesting if he makes the league. That would make 2 pro athletes from the 2018 Championship team, Addison and Quinn Priester with the Red Sox.

It would be the 2nd from CG to go to the NFL as Alex Kube RIP had a small stint with the Vikings. He was on that 2004 state final team. He set the standard. Before his passing he would train with a lot of CG players.

Congratulations! I remember watching him play a few games his SR year and I thought he was outstanding. He was fantastic against ND in the semi game. I had seen Trevor Keegan CLS ( Michigan) against us a couple weeks before we played CG and I thought Addison was as good or better.

He would also come down and talk to the JR program. After hearing his speech’s everyone would be ready to strap on a helmet again.

Addison was in my middle kid’s class. Big man on campus, also played basketball and was a good kid. My kid played in the scrub basketball league on Saturdays and Addison was always there cheering them on.
