Putting all three 9-0 8A teams in the North bracket is ridiculous. I went to Google maps. From Edwardsville HS it is:
Oswego HS -- 245 miles
Waubonsie Valley HS -- 254 miles
Glenbard West HS -- 266 miles
Maine South HS -- 279 miles
According to Google, there is a six minute difference in travel time between going to Oswego or going to Glen Ellyn. If a team is in the Chicago area, the difference in travel times from way down state is negligible. So, a top seed is given to two 8-1 teams over two 9-0 teams. This is beyond silly. Can anyone tell me who to complain to at the IHSA?
