Vernon Hills head coach Bill Bellecomo has posted a 52-50 overall record in 11 seasons at Vernon Hills and has led the program to the IHSA state playoffs in three seasons.
The biggest question facing Vernon Hills this summer?
Can the Cougars break the 3-6 record streak this fall and find a way to get into the IHSA state playoff field for the first time since the 2021 season? Vernon Hills welcomes back 12 returning starters (6 offense 6 defense) and if this team can merge in and fill some key openings (QB/WR/DL) this summer I can see the Cougars having a decent chance at competing for the Central Suburban North and a state playoff berth.
