Impact Player for Roxana
Roxana head coach Wade DeVries welcomes back a nice core of 11 experienced starters (5 offense 6 defense) this summer. Roxana senior RB/DB Andruw Ellis (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) is a headliner for the Shells this summer and also a name to watch in recruiting circles. Ellis has a chance to develop into an impact ball carrier this fall along with drawing moire recruiting looks.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2024 Roxana Shells
Roxana head coach Wayne Devries is looking to maintain the momentum the Shells gained in 2023 posting an impressive 12-1 record, only the second time in school history the Shells made it to the IHSA state semifinal round. The Shells also welcome back several key starters back from last season's playoff team and this program looks to be on the upswing again this fall.
The biggest question facing Roxana this summer?
Can the Shells reload at a handful of key positions (QB/LB) along with developing a bit mote depth this summer and contend for another deep playoff run? The Shells will also need to be ready to go right out of the gates this season taking on some quality non conference opponents in 2024.
