Lakes and head coach Jason George Ellerman is looking to bounce back this fall from it's 1-8 season in 2023. Lakes head coach Jason George Ellerman has posted a 5-13 record over the past two seasons and is looking to get Lakes back into the IHSA state playoff field this fall for the first time since the 2021 season.
The biggest question facing Lakes this summer?
Can the Eagles take advantage of an experienced starting lineup back on both sides of the football and find it's way back to the top of the Northern Lake County conference and back into the IHSA state playoff field this fall? Lakes welcomes back 15 returning starters (8 offense 7 defense) and if the program can add a bit more overall depth and numbers this summer...this could be a nice potential sleeper team to watch this fall.
